Born to Run
“While the men are away the women will play.“
This quote is often heard during hunting season, while men try their skill at deer hunting and women often get together with others to have some fun. This weekend, Chris and his hunting crew got together for opening deer season, but didn’t have much luck snagging a deer. I guess I was actually “the lucky one” this weekend, as I got to attend the Bruce Springstein concert Friday night at the Excel Energy Center.
The show began with Radio Nowhere, a new hit from Bruce’s latest “Magic” CD. He went on to play some others from the new CD, as well as some classics including: Bad Lands, Promised Land, Dancing in the Dark, Born to Run, and Thunder Road. Back once again with the E Street Band, Bruce seemed like he was more back to his classic rockin’ self and all in all put on a good show.
I spent the rest of the weekend doing a little shopping and some things around the house. As for the guys…there’s always next weekend. This weekend those deer were just “Born to Run”.
