PGC Celebrates 1 Year Anniversary Of Blog Site!

It is hard to believe, but this month marks the one year anniversary of our blog site. Wow, time sure does fly by! While blog sites have gained popularity over the last several years, many people are still unfamiliar with them, or just learning more about their value and purpose.

So what is a blog you might ask? According to Wikipedia, “a blog (a web log) is a website where entries are commonly displayed in reverse chronological order.  Many blogs provide commentary or news on a particular subject; others function as more personal online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, web pages, and an area for readers to leave comments in an interactive format.”

I have enjoyed blogging over the last year, and have to admit that is has been a great way to provide valueable information to our customers. If you’re looking for a particular topic of interest, our blog site contains various Categories such as: Business, Company, Cooking in your Kitchen, Granite, Industry News, Learning Links, etc., that make it easy to navigate and find what you’re looking for. If you haven’t had the opportunity to check out our blog site yet, please do. The site contains industry information, tips, opinions, links, and…a few good recipes you might want to try.

Following are some blogs I’ve highlighted from the year:

Thanks for reading!

Congratulations on the weblog. I’ve been viewing your blogs since almost day one. First time blogger but long time suscriber. I use your Blog for industry information since I’m a interior designer by trade. I hope you continue blogging for years to come and it would nice to hear from your installation team members, field measure individuals, stone producers. My parents told me when I was younger to appreciate what you have done in life and remember the people that got you where you’re at today.

Another question,How do you compare in pricing to other natural stone fabrications like stonecrafters? and is your showroom at becker furniture world open 7 days a week. i’m meeting with a client in becker next week.

    Thanks to all, Hillary

    Hillary:

I appreciate your comments and want to thank you for reading our blog. We are comparable to most reputable fabricators. You must be mistaken as to where we are located, as we do not have a location at Becker Furniture World. That is another competitor. We are located in St. Michael near Rogers and face Hwy. 101. We would be happy to put together a proposal for you and your client and would appreciate the opportunity to meet with you. Please stop by and visit our showroom. We have a large selection of samples slabs, and remnants to choose from. Our customer service and sales staff is very knowledgeable and would love to help you.

I also like your idea of hearing from installers, measure techs, etc. They are very knowledgeable in what they do and could have some insight for customers.

Thanks again and hope to hear from you soon!

Oh, I apoligize for my error. My clients expect convenience and BFW is open 7 days a week. How does your showroom compare to BFW’s or Stonecrafter’s? I will see how my Becker meeting goes and see if the client is interested in working with a smaller shop like Parmont. Sometimes working with smaller companies they can offer lower pricing so it’s worth a shot!

    Thank you again, Hillary

Barb & PCG - Congrats on the blogging milestone! You continue to put out quality information that your competitors just don’t take the time to share … or have the knowledge/experience to put out. Just one more reason for your success in your industry.

Keep up the great work, your customers benefit from your blog as well as you/PGC.
