Fun At 2009 The Builders Product & Service Show
The 2009 Builders Product & Service show, was a little smaller this year with a slower economy, but that didn’t stop PGC from having a booth and participating in the event. Although attendance was also down somewhat, we managed to speak to quite a few builders and remodelers and enjoyed some camaraderie.
The event was sponsored through BATC, Builders Association of the Twin Cities, and was held Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at the Minneapolis Convention Center. The PGC booth was staffed by several of our team members and included a full slab of granite, which proved to be a good draw. The booth also included a granite countertop display, and a granite table, as well as granite samples, DuPont Zodiaq® samples, and Rinato stone samples.
Following are some photos I wanted to share:

How has the economy affected your business up north? Down here in Atlanta business is still going well, but the vast majority is now remodels on existing homes. Installations in new homes have slowed dramatically because no new homes are being built. I’m just curious if it’s the same up there.
Thanks,
Melissa

Business has definitely been slower. We are bidding more lately, but there has been a lot of price gauging by some competitiors, which is sad. We definitely have been working with more remodelers than builders. We are however, confident that business will pick up and continue to increase through 2009.
