Recipe: Taco Dip

Here’s a recipe I make often for up at the lake. It is a great appetizer for gatherings.

Taco Dip

1 lb. hamburger
1 pkg. taco seasoning
1 can sliced black olives
1 small onion chopped
1 can chilis
2 can refried beans
1 small jar Pace picante sauce
1 pkg. shredded cheddar cheese
tortilla chips

Brown hamburger in frying pan, or skillet. Add chopped onion, black olives, and green chilis. Stir the mixture until the hamburger is entirely browned. Add the taco seasoning with water according to the package directions. Drain off any excess grease. Set aside. In a crock pot, add the refried beans  taco meat and picante sauce, and stir. Add the cheese on top and stir. Cook on high setting at first, stirring occasionally, to melt the cheese. After the dip is hot, turn the setting down to low. Serve with tortilla chips.

Enjoy!
