There is a lot of conflicting information in the industry regarding care and maintenance of granite and other natural stone surfaces. At PGC every piece of stone that leaves our shop is sealed prior to installation. However, from time to time we receive inquires about when granite needs to be resealed. While we know that the majority of granite’s never need to be resealed (less than 5%) some customers are looking for some kind of reassurance. For those customer’s we will be adding a new cleaning and sealing care kit comprised of Stone Care International (SCI) MARBAMIST Countertop Cleaner and Stone Spray & Seal.
MARBAMIST Countertop Cleaner: This product will safely clean and condition all natural stone surfaces. It is a streak-free product that can be used in food handling areas, simply spray and wipe. And it smells like vanilla too!! Daily use of this product is recommended.
SCI Stone Spray & Seal: This product is a water based penetrating sealer that protects all natural stone surfaces from staining. It is also safe to use in food handling areas. Recommended use is every 1 – 2 years.
