Automated Phone Services…UGH!



I am sure everyone has experienced an automated phone system at one time or another. You are calling to speak to a human and you have to go through a series of prompts and menus to finally be put on hold FOREVER! By the time you actually talk to someone you are so frustrated that you take it out on the person on the other end! What is even more frustrating is when the automated system asks for all of your information up front, name, address, last 4 of account, mother’s maiden name, etc. And then, when you actually speak to someone they ask you for all of the same information AGAIN!!

Anyway, I am sure you can tell that I am a bit frustrated. What happened to the good ole days, when you could actually speak to a human being!? Yesterday, we had a customer call  in that was looking for some pricing for his kitchen countertops. He told Leisa that he had called 2 other fabricators prior to us, and neither answered their phone. Since we DID answer the phone, he decided to go with us and signed the proposal the same day!

It just goes to show, good customer service begins with a person…not a machine!!
