Customize Your Projects With Curves!
Awhile back, I wrote a blog about a rather unique kitchen that we fabricated that included a lot of curve work. While most people realize we can customize their granite countertops to include bump-outs, rounded corners, and curves, they may not realize that we can also customize furniture tops, and other accessory items.
Several weeks ago, a customer asked us to fabricate a customized lazy susan for her. The piece included a variety of curves and was run on our CNC mill.
Customized Lazy Susan Shown Below:

No matter if you’re looking for a customized countertop, table, or a lazy susan, we are here to help. Please feel free to stop by our showroom anytime.

Rules For Success…
Today, as I was paging through my October 2009 issue of Selling Power magazine, I came across, “10 Rules For Success,” by Howard Rackover, that I found interesting and useful and wanted to pass along. Although I beleive the rules were geared for those in Sales, they can be used by anyone in all facets of life.
10 Rules For Success
- Believe that you have already succeeded before you even begin the task. (Act, dress, and speak the part.)
- Replace negative statements with positive phrases. (Make sure you practice this everyday—morning, or evening, or both.)
- Take responsibility for your actions and your life.
- Think positively about all of your accomplishments, no matter how small they may appear to others.
- Formulate a mission statement and keep it with you.
- Remember great stories of successful people and the difficulties they had in accomplishing their goals. (Helen Keller, Thomas Edison, etc.)
- When taking on a new project, ask yourself, “What is the worst that can happen?” (This should help you get going on your path.)
- Allow yourself to make mistakes. It is an essential growth component. (This is how we learn, and improve.)
- Strive to be the best you can, not the best there is.
- No one was born a great doctor, lawyer, or salesperson. (You have to work at it and you can choose success!)

Recipe: Chocolate Banana Pudding Pie
With the holidays just around the corner, it’s time to start thinking about pie. Here’s a recipe I serve often at Thanksgiving, as an alternative for those who don’t care for pumpkin. It is easy to make and not so filling.
Chocolate Banana Pudding Pie
4 squares Baker’s semi-sweet chocolate
2 Tbsp. milk
1 Tbsp. butter
1 prepared graham cracker pie crust (6 oz.)
2 medium banana, sliced
2-3/4 cup milk
2 packages (4 serving size) Jell-o banana cream instant pudding
1-1/2 cups thawed Cool Whip
Microwave chocolate, milk and butter in medium microwaveable bowl on high 1 to 1-1/2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds. Stir until chocolate is completely melted. Spread evenly in crust. Refrigerate 30 minutes, or until chocolate is firm. Arrange banana sliced over chocolate. Pour milk into large bowl. Add pudding mixes. Beat with wire whisk 1 minute. Let stand 5 minutes. Spoon over bananas in crust. Spread with whipped topping. Garnish the top with sliced bananas and sprinkle with chocolate shavings.
Refrigerate 4 hours or until set. Store leftover pie in refrigerator.
Makes 6 servings
Enjoy!

The Salvation Army and Cub Foods stores are working together to help those less fortunate with their Kettle Kick-off program. If you drop money into any Salvation Army kettle today, (November 12, 2009) at any Cub Foods store, Cub foods will match your donation.
What a great way to help those in need. So why not stop by your local Cub Foods today, and reach for that red bucket? You’ll be glad you did.

Hard Work Pays Off For An 8 Pointer!
Opening deer hunting is a much anticipated event for many guys (some gals too). My husband, Chris, spends countless hours preparing his deer stands, planting and maintaining his corn fields, setting up deer feeders, etc. I really don’t understand it, maybe because I’m a woman, but he enjoys the whole aspect of it. I told him the other week that he is sometimes “like a little kid anticipating Christmas.” ”Yeah, I know,” he responded, “but it is so much fun.”
Unfortunately, the weekend was disappointing for him, as no one in the group got a deer, and barely even saw one. Bound and determined however, he left work early yesterday and ended up shooting an 8 point buck!
He called me immediately to let me know all the details. The sound of his voice, expressed how happy and excited he was, and made all his hard work worthwhile.
Following are a few photos of “The Big Boy”:
