Go Ahead—Add A Splash Of Color To Your Kitchen!

When customers come to our showroom, we often ask if they have a color in mind for their countertops? With so many colors available these days, some customers may feel overwhelmed.  By eliminating some colors from the start, we can help narrow the search, and make the selection process easier for the customer. When remodeling, sometimes customers mention that they want to add color to their kitchen. This can be done in a number of ways:

  • Add a vibrant colored granite—
You can choose a color such as red. (e.g. Ivory Coast, Wineberry, Desert Glory, etc.), or a a warm colored granite with a lot of flow, or veining. (e.g. Sedna, Amber Storm, Golden Fantasy, etc.),. and then choose a paint color that will compliment the granite, and make it stand out.
  • Choose a vibrant, warm paint color—
You can choose a paint color such as red, brown, or gold, and then select a granite that is more neutral toned with accents of the paint color with in the stone. (e.g. St. Cecilia, Venetian Gold, Bianco Ramano, Lapidus, etc.)

No matter which way you choose to add color to your kitchen, we are happy to help. Please feel free to stop by our showroom to look at our countertop selections.

Granite Countertops Enhance A Kitchen Makeover…

It is not that often that I personally get to see both before and after photos from a remodeling project. It is however, always fun to see the changes that take place, and the excitement and enthusiasum from the customer when their granite countertops get installed. We recently did a project for Kris & Joe Perry of Minneapolis. They have been in their home for 19 years and have been talking about remodeling their kitchen for a number of years now. They finally started ripping up their kitchen on New Year’s Eve. They selected the color, opalescence, from our Group A  Price Selection Color Grouping, and are thrilled with the result. They even posted a photo gallery of their kitchen on Facebook.

Here are a few comments from Kris:

“My work area is so much bigger now – I love it!”

“Everyone at Paramount was so great to work with.  The granite looks beautiful and I am so happy to have the extra counter space. Thanks for everything!”

Following are some before and after pictures of the project:

Recipe: Foil Pack Brushetta Chicken Bake

Here’s  a good recipe to try that I found on the Kraft Foods website. It is easy to make and tasty.

Foil Packed Brushetta Chicken Bake

1 can (28 oz.) diced tomatoes, drained
1 pkg.  (6 oz.) STOVE TOP Stuffing Mix for Chicken
2 cloves garlic, minced
6 small  boneless skinless chicken breast halves (1-1/2 lb.)
1 tsp. dried basil leaves
1 cup  KRAFT 2% Milk Shredded Mozzarella Cheese

HEAT oven to 400ºF.

COMBINE tomatoes, stuffing mix and garlic just until stuffing mix is moistened.

PLACE 1 chicken breast on center of each of 6 large sheets of heavy-duty foil sprayed with cooking spray; top with basil, stuffing mixture and cheese. Bring up foil sides; double fold top and ends to seal each packet, leaving room for heat circulation inside. Place in 15x10x1-inch pan.

BAKE 30 to 35 min. or until chicken is done (165ºF). Cool 5 min. Cut slits in foil to release steam before opening packets.

Enjoy!

Kitchen Islands—An Integral Part Of Today’s Kitchens!

Many of today’s kitchens incorporate islands. That’s because they help improve function and efficiency and provide more of a workspace. According to “Ultra-Stylish, Ultra-Functional Kitchen Islands,” an article found on the Better Homes and Gardens website, when “outfitted with a sink, a cooktop, warming drawers, refrigerator drawers, or a dishwasher, an island makes food preparation and cleanup much more convenient and often more social.”

It is funny how families often gather in the kitchen. An island provides a nice spot for kids to do homework, or have an after school snack with friends, etc. Islands also work great for parties and family gatherings because they provide a nice serving area for food, as well as provide a space to socialize.

Whether you have an “L” shaped kitchen, or a “U” shaped kitchen, adding an island will help bring the workspace together and make it more functional. If you have questions about adding an island to your kitchen, please give us a call, or stop by our showroom. We are happy to answer your questions, and show you our product samples including: granite, quartz, Rinato stone, etc.
