Recipe: Peppermint Chocolate Fudge
Here’s a good recipe to try for the holidays, if you like chocolate, and more specifically fudge. This recipe combines both chocolate and peppermint flavors into a delicious treat.
Peppermint Chocolate Fudge
2 cups Nestles milk chocolate chips
1 cup Nestles semisweet chocolate chips
1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
Dash of salt
1/2 tsp. peppermint extract
3/4 cup hard peppermint candy, crushed
Line an 8″ x 8″ square pan with foil. Grease foil. In a saucepan, over low heat, melt milk chocolate chips, semisweet chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and salt. Remove from heat; stir in peppermint extract. Spread evenly into prepared pan. Sprinkle with peppermint candy. Chill for 2 hours or until firm. Turn fudge onto cutting board and cut into squares.
Enjoy!

Granite Countertops And Bump Outs…
Many customers these days, do their homework before purchasing, especually when it comes to remodeling a kitchen. Sometimes customers bring in pictures of granite countertops they’ve found in magazines, or may mention a look they’ve seen on the internet and want to incorporate it in their kitchen. One such example is a “bump out” at the sink, or other area. If you are not familiar with a bump out, it is an area that basically jets out further than the rest of the perimeter of the countertops. Bump outs are fairly popular and add emphasis and character.
Following are few examples of bump outs, that I wanted to share:

Granite Countertops—Spotlight on Gold & Silver
In light of the Christmas season, I thought it would be appropriate to spotlight the colors silver & gold, a popular Christmas song. In fact, there is color available with the same name, just transposed—Gold & Silver, which is quarried in Brazil.
Gold & Silver is a popular choice for consumers because it offers several neutral tones, as well as adds a touch of warmth. Gold & silver also contains some areas of mica that add a bit of sparkle when the lighting hits the stone just right. The color, Gold & Silver, would work great for a kitchen island, countertops, bathroom vanity, or fireplace surround. If you are interested in Gold & Silver, or another color, please stop by our showroom. We are happy to help you in your material selections.
