2011 Builders Product & Service Show—A Success!
The 2011 Builders Product & Service show sponsored through BATC, Builders Association of the Twin Cities, proved to be another successful event. Many remodelers and builders in the twin cities were excited to get out and see the latest trends in the industry, and what new items they could offer the consumer. Paramount Granite Company participated in the show and was eager to partake in the camarade, as well as show some of our products including granite, Dupont Zodiaq, Casesarstone, Silestone, Hanstone, etc. The PGC booth was staffed by several members of our team including some sales and customer service personnel.
The show was held Thursday, February 24th at the Minneapolis Convention Center and was open to builders and remodelers throughout the area.

Black Crocodile Marble Offers Interesting Look…
Last week, I wrote a blog about some Crocodile Caesarstone I saw, while visiting a supplier, that I thought was pretty cool. Well this week, I was visiting another supplier and came across some Black Crocodile marble that was also kind of neat.
Black Crocodile Marble
Black Crocodile marble is quarried in Italy and has a unique variegated look. Veins of black, gray, and white flow gently from one side to another, creating a gentle moving pattern across the stone.
If you are looking for a contemporary look, or just an interesting look, and like black and gray tones, you might want to check out some slabs of Black Crocodile Marble. It could be used for a fireplace surround, bar top, bathroom vanity, etc.

Holy Guacamole—This Recipe Rocks…
…or so I’ve been told!
I haven’t really thought too much about posting this recipe because it is so easy. I have to admit—it is pretty good, and I make it a lot for gatherings, or when I am just craving some guacaomole, so here it is:
Great Guac
2 to 3 ripe avacado’s
1 tsp. to 1 Tbsp. Pace Picante Sauce, or your favorite (add to taste)
1/2 tsp. or so, Louisiana Cajun Seasoning (add to taste)
Sedna Granite Island
Peel avacados and mash with a fork in a mixing bowl. Add your favorite picante sauce to taste. Add the Louisiana Cajun Seasoning. Mix well. Serve with chips, garlic bread, quesadillas, or other favorite Mexican dish and a margarita!
Sedna Granite Island
Enjoy in snowy weather, or sunshine!

Granite Countertops—Spotlight On Keywest
In this blog, I wanted to focus on the color, Keywest, which is quarried in Brazil.
Keywest Granite
Although keywest has a warm, golden tone, it is also neutral and therefore can be included in a variety of decorating options. While the overall pattern for Keywest is somewhat fine grained and tight, it also contains some flow and gentle movement, as you can see from the pictures below from a recent job we fabricated and installed.

If you are thinking of doing some remodeling, and are looking for a warm, neutral tone for your home, you might want to look at Keywest. It would work well for a granite island, granite countertops, granite bar top, or bathroom vanity.
