It is always interesting to see what is hot in the marketplace, especially when it comes to colors. In this blog, I wanted to take a look at the 2013 Pantone Color of the Year. While last years color, Tangerine Tango, offered a bright, warm, look, with a boost of energy, this year’s color, Emerald, is a bit more subdued and inspires well-being. The color, Emerald, offers a sophisticated, elegant look that supports a feeling of balance and harmony. Over the years green colors have consistently been popular and it is no wonder, as green is abundant in nature.

In our showroom, we get a lot of customers looking for bathroom vanities. While most people already have their design and layout, it is always interesting to look at what others have done. Let’s take a look at some bathroom designs I came across. They are not only beautiful, but have some fun designs and features.
When it comes to backsplash options for your kitchen, there are a multitude of choices. From using the same countertop material with a 3-1/2″ backsplash run, to full height backsplash, to tile, there are plenty of options. If you go the tile route, your options multiply even more and you can create a look and feel all of your own.

This kitchen features a Sienna Silver Travertine backsplash, which pulls in the colors of the countertop and other decor.
Using black and white in decorating can add a stunning appeal that is both sophisticated and elegant. Black adds a focal point and white adds that perfect contrast. Black and white is very popular in Contemporary decorating, but can also be incorporated in other decorating styles. From rugs and flooring, cabinets and countertops, bed linens and walls, the uses for a black and white color combination are plenty.
When it comes to kitchens, a black and white color combination has been popular for years. And…that’s not surprising. Many consumers love the clean, elegant look. There are also a variety of black granites available, as well as some marble options.
