5 Trending Kitchen Designs

While everyone wants something unique when it comes to kitchen design, we often see trends over periods of time that many consumers like to try. This is true when it comes to colors, appliances, cabinets and also countertops. In this blog, I thought it would be interesting to look at some trending kitchen designs…

Let’s take a look…

  1. White/Gray Countertops

While white and gray color tones have been popular over the last several years, they still are trending strong and predicted to stay that way for awhile. Many consumers like this trend because light and white colors offer a clean, elegant look that goes with a variety of decorating options. Accent colors can easily be added into the design, adding a little personality to the overall look.

  2. Alternate Natural Stone Options

While many consumers like the look of granite countertops, some consumers are opting to select other natural surfaces, which may have a slightly different look and feel to them. While granite is still the most popular choice for countertops, many other natural stones have a unique, beautiful look to them. Why not try something a little different?
  3. Mix and Match Countertop Colors

We are seeing more and more mixing and matching of countertop colors these days, especially with larger kitchens. Some people like variety and may choose one color for an island, and another color for their countertops. The sames holds true for cabinets. It definitely gives a unique design.

  4. Built-In Appliances

any consumers these days like the look and feel of built-in appliances. They not only create more space, but help organize the room. The picture above features a built-in appliance wall, which keep all appliances together and gives more area to move about.
  5. Textures

Textured surfaces have also become popular over the last several years. From honed, to satin to leather and antique, each option offers a variation in texture finish, which is different to the popular polished looked that most consumers choose. While a honed finish offers a matte look and is still mostly smooth to the touch, other textured finishes offer both a different look and feel. Keep in mind that most textured finishes are only available in a limited number of colors.

Add Some Elegance To Your Kitchen With Some Bianco Cream Granite…

In this blog, I wanted to share some photos of a kitchen we recently fabricated and installed in the color Bianco Cream granite. Bianco Cream is a beautiful color, with soft shades of beige, cream, gold and brown. It has a gentle, subtle pattern that makes is appealing to a wide range of consumers. It has a similar look to St. Cecilia, but the pattern has a little bit more variation and typically contains more areas of cream tones.

Let’s take a look at the project…

Add Some Luxury To Your Home With Some Opalescence Granite…

In this blog, I wanted to share a few photos of a project we recently fabricated and installed in Opalescence granite. Opalescence is one of those colors that has been popular over the years. It’s dark, neutral tones make it a good option for decorating, and since it is one of Group A colors, it is an affordable choice for many consumers. While the overall look of this stone often looks black, it does have flecks of gold, brown and some green, which are more prominent under bright light. This kitchen features a honed finish, which is smooth to the touch, but has a matte, or more dull look to it. I don’t know about you, but I really like the open design of this kitchen. The dark stone also provides a nice contrast to the white cabinets.
