Think Spring, Think Outdoor Kitchens!

Now that spring has finally arrived, it is time to start thinking about all those BBQ’s with family and friends. While some people have a back yard with a grill and picnic table to enjoy some outdoor festivities, if you are one of the lucky ones who can afford and has the space for an outdoor kitchen, I wanted to take the time to say, “We can help with those outdoor countertops!” We have a large selection of granite colors to choose from that will make your space appealing. In fact, I wanted to share some photos of an outdoor kitchen we recently fabricated and installed.

Let’s take a look…

Backsplash Options Add Variety To Your Countertops…

When it comes to remodeling and adding countertops, there are a lot of decisions to make. Not only will you need to decide on a material and a color to go with your decor and style, but will also have the opportunity to add a backsplash. While there are a number of options when it comes to backsplashes, in this blog, I wanted to show you some pictures of some different choices that we fabricated and installed.

Let’s take a look…
004

Two-Tiered Granite Island with backsplash between tiers.

While not everyone thinks about adding a backsplash to an island, it does offer a nice look and provides continuity between the two tiers.

026

Decorative small ogee backsplash with shelf top

While most basksplash we fabricate includes our standard eased edge, adding a more decoration edge, is always an option. The shelf also offers a more customized look.

Standard 3-1/2″ high backsplash on back side of vanity

This photo shows our most popular backsplash option, which many consumers like.

003

Full height granite bacskplash with a soapstone countertop

This picture shows a full height backsplash and incorporates the look of 2 different stones adding more variety.

Tile backsplash

This picture shows a kitchen incorporating 2 different tiles for backsplash giving it nice, appealing look.

5 Orange Kitchens…

Seeing that it is fall, I thought it would be fun to take a look at some bright colors for kitchens, specifically the color orange. It is funny how adding a bright color can not only change the look of the room, but also the whole feel of it.

Let’s take at some photos of orange kitchens I came across…

Eclectic Kitchen design by Other Metros Interior Designer Brooke Ulrich
I just love the orange wall in this photo. It adds a punch of color and works well with the other colors incorporated in the room.
Contemporary Kitchen design by San Diego Kitchen And Bath Hamilton-Gray Design, Inc.
The orange in this kitchen not only adds color to the walls, but to the island base. The lighter granite island offsets the bright base.
Contemporary Kitchen design by Salt Lake City Architect Lloyd Architects
I like the combination of bright colored walls in this photo. They give the kitchen an overall warm appeal.
Contemporary Kitchen design by San Diego Kitchen And Bath Hamilton-Gray Design, Inc.
This kitchen shows another example of bright orange walls and cabinets contrasting with a lighter countertop.
Contemporary Kitchen design by Louisville Kitchen And Bath Kenneth Fromme
Ya gotta love the lighted onyx column in this photo. It ties in well with the  black cabinets and orange walls.

Outdoor Kitchen Ideas…

While many people are interested in remodeling their homes and adding kitchen countertops, there are some consumers out there that are also interested in adding, or updating an outdoor kitchen. Outdoor kitchens have become popular over the last several years, and why not? When the weather is nice, people want to be outside enjoying it. Having an outdoor kitchen allows more flexibility with food preparations, and allows for more interaction among family, and friends at family gatherings.

Let’s take a look at some outdoor kitchens I came across…

Mediterranean Kitchen design by Phoenix General Contractor Hillis Bolte Luxury Builders
This outdoor kitchen provides a rustic, intimate setting, complete with an outdoor fireplace.
Eclectic Kitchen design by Los Angeles Interior Designer Sandy Koepke
This outdoor kitchen provides a homey setting, which works well in a garden area and makes a perfect place to work with fresh vegetables, etc.
Traditional Kitchen design by Houston Design-build Brique
This outdoor kitchen not only provides a little privacy, but adds some coverage in an otherwise open setting. The granite countertops also work well with the brick.
Traditional Kitchen design by Tampa Design-build Ramos Design Build Corporation – Tampa
This outdoor kitchen is right off the house and provides a nice space to enjoy the outdoors with company, or family.
Traditional Kitchen design by New Orleans Kitchen And Bath Jackson Cabinetry LLC
This outdoor kitchen provides an “out-doorsy” look. The stone backsplash works well with the rustic cabinets.
Eclectic Kitchen design by Los Angeles Interior Designer Sandy Koepke
This outdoor kitchen is both inviting and cozy. I love the bright colored chairs and the built-in fireplace. What a great place this would be to hang out in summer, or fall.
