I don’t know about you, but I enjoy reading and am always looking for a good book, magazine, etc. With literally thousands and thousands of publications available, it is always great to have a source for a good read.
Here’s a couple of sources I came across that I wanted to pass along:
- The 100 Best Business Books of All Time (by Jack Covert and Todd Sattersten)
This is a great website by Brian Johnson, who provides information on 100 of the greatest self-develoment books. I subscribe and get daily inspirational tidbits and info. via e-mail. (A great way to start the day!)
Happy reading!

It is that time of year again, the holidays. I always enjoy the holidays, as it is an opportunity to spend more time with family and friends, give thanks, and of course celebrate the birth of Christ. There are however, some people who have a hard time during the holidays and may feel lonely, sad, or depressed. This year especially, with a slow economy, it is important to stay positive and be thankful for what you have.
I wanted to pass along a few links I found and enjoy that are inspirational and motivational:

The Green Building movement has become a popular topic of interest over the last couple years, as people are becoming more aware of the need to help sustain the environment. Many builders, remodelers, and subcontractors are educating themselves and taking steps to offer green building practices for their businesses. The natural stone industry has jumped on this new movement and is working to help educate the public. Granite, afterall, is a product of nature, and it makes sense to establish granite countertops as environmentally friendly for building officially.
Following are some links for more information on granite and green building:

“A man is but the product of his thoughts what he thinks, he becomes.”
–Mahatma Gandhi
I don’t know about you, but I am tired of hearing all of the negative hype in regards to the building and remodeling industry. Yes-it is true that things have slowed down, but what do you expect after more than a decade of record growth. Just because the market is in a transition phase, doesn’t mean people don’t want to build, or remodel, although the media would have you believe this. What is wrong with talking about the positive trends and outlook instead of just doom and gloom? The problem is that good news and a positive outlook doesn’t sell newspapers. To help you get your thoughts back on track, I’ve included several links below that contain positive information.

It is interesting how the kitchen has changed over the years. Not that long ago, kitchens were strictly a place for preparing food and eating a family meal together. For the most part, kitchens were small in size and considered a place for the woman of the house. Todays kitchens, however have changed. They have become larger and are often used in part for entertaining. Many kitchens today are designed to be more open and spacious and have many other amenities such as desk areas, TV’s, computers, top of the line appliances, granite countertops and granite islands.
Following are some links containing information on the latest kitchen statistics, kitchen island designs, and getting started with the kitchen remodeling process that I found interesting and useful:
